Turning 65 is a big milestone!
Turning 65 is a big milestone! Besides celebrating your birthday you also now have some choices to make in regards to your Social Security and your Medicare(health insurance) coverage.
You only have 1 IEP (Initial Election Period) it is best to get yourself educated 3 to 6 months before your 65th birthday to make sure you aren't penalized for not getting Medicare soon enough.
Why So Early You Ask?
#1 YOU HAVE MORE CHOICES
Up until NOW your health insurance options have been easy. Your company gave you 2 or 3 options and you picked one, they deducted a flat amount each paycheck and you went about your business.
Now you have a few options to choose from and understanding those options can be difficult.
#2 MEDICARE IS CONFUSING
It's a lot of information to understand. You need someone to help with doing the research and plan design. You want the best coverage and benefits for the dollars you're spending.
This is where a trusted Medicare Consultant who has your best interests in mind is critical. That's me!
Over 12 years of Experience
I've been working in the Medicare space for over 12 years and helping people understand their options, benefits, coverage and costs. I have seen this business from all sides. I'm honest about telling you how the system works, what questions to ask, what to watch out for and how to maximize your benefits.
Once you have chosen the best option for your needs, I will be in your corner ready to answer questions and help with any challenges that may arise. Then we touch base annually to ensure you still have the good solid coverage you need.
When I sit down to show you how Medicare works I do so as if you are my Mom, Dad or Grandmother. My goal is to simplify it and help you make the best decision for your individual situation.
Everyone is different and has different needs. What your brother or next door neighbor has may NOT work the same for you and your household. They may have different health needs or different medications than you.
Many people think that their company benefits are better than Medicare and this is not always the case. Today with the rising cost of health insurance only a few large companies offer low premiums and low deductibles any more. So this makes it even more important to get educated and informed on how Medicare might save you money versus your group benefits.
In about 30 minutes I can cover the basics of Your Medicare Options and after all your questions are answered then we can decide on your next step in the process.
